Contact us today experience the Cliff Wall Way! and it handled the 5 hour trip perfectly fine though cruise control seemed to upset the transmission (jumped between gears a bit, even on flat roads), so I drove without it. We did use 91/93 octane for the duration of the trip and had one fuel stop. I thought gas mileage was decent, varying from 15-17 mpg at 60-65 mph. I wouldn't call it an outstanding tow vehicle, but for the half dozen times a year we need it, it's perfectly adequate. Unloaded, I've been able to get 28-30 mpg on the highway and about 20 in-city.
Best part of the vehicle is the Super All-Wheel-Control system, hugely underrated in my books. Definitely better in snow and gravel/ muddy roads than our previous Outback. I will admit that I think the Subaru had better fit-and -finish, but otherwise I'm very happy replacing it with the Mitsubishi.
